In true holiday fashion I’m posting this from back in the UK. The road trip was a success (as the picture may indicate). Had a blast in New York and successfully hooked up with Scott 'n the others before hitting the road north --> Vermont --> Québec --> Maine --> New Hampshire --> Massachusetts --> JFK.

Anyway, tell you all about it next weekend at the Ingramator’s BBQ…

Anteeksi, että minä en ole kirjoittanut mutta nyt lähetän postikortin sinulle Amerikasta. Me menimme New Yorkiin sitten me ajoimme Kanadaan ystäviemme häihin. Me kävimme ranskankielisessä Kanadassa ja sen jälkeen me ajoimme New Englantiin. Me yövyimme Northamptonissa ja tänään me lennämme kotiin Lontooseen. Nähdän syyskuussa!

We thought this card summed up Hannes’ reluctance to road trip coast to coast! Lucky you’re in ‘America’.

Thanks for having us and showing us around your neck of the woods in New Hampshire and Vermont and hope you enjoyed the rest of the afternoon by the lake. It was really great seeing you again – let’s not leave it so long next time!

Nyt menox, sano Annie Lennox!

A perky "hi, how are ya?" from Portland, Maine! The customer service has been seriously amazing but we should really just talk about the food in Maine... The main event is lobster, with a side of lobster. After swinging by the legendary Red's Eats yesterday evening (a tiny lobster shack that has an hour long queue all day long) for two of their world famous lobster rolls we can now call ourselves lobster aficionados. Now, we're off to find some lobster for breakfast! Hope to see you crazy kids soon.

Today we left Québec and headed back for the USA. It’s been a fantastic few days but time to slowly head back south towards New York. We took the ferry across the St. Lawrence (65 minutes so I guess it’s not much shorter than Dover to Calais!) where we saw dolphins on the port side. Sometimes you can see whales too but today we were out of luck. Then it was a 7 hour drive to our overnight stay in Maine. Tomorrow we head out for lobster and lots of it! See you guys soon.

Greetings from your old turf! Well, we’re kinda near New Brunswick anyway. We’re in L’Anse-Saint-Jean on the Saguenay Fjord, which was apparently once pictured on the now extinct $1000 note (I doubt you ever had one of those in your student days here). We have seen some amazing sights but no mounties yet, unfortunately. Hope your training's going well in Copenhagen and see you in September!

Greetings from Québec! Having a lovely time exploring French Canada. We’ve been all around the area between Québec city and Tadoussac in the last few days and seen some spectacular scenery along the way. Today we went out kayaking on a fjord where we saw seals but we didn’t go far enough out towards the St. Lawrence River to see the whales that can often be spotted. Tomorrow we head back to the États-Unis to spend a few days in New England.

Thanks for a great party. You both looked trés magnifique!

After getting back to our Mt-Sainte-Anne ranch we played ping pong and fussball till dawn so needless to say we didn’t make it too far on Sunday. But Mathieu will be pleased to know we’ve since been exploring Québec and sampling the local brew while trying to remember our high school French. Tell you all about it in London!

Enjoy l’honeymoon…

(Some Grizzly Bear facts for Joe the fountain of random knowledge.)

We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days in NYC before making our way up to Québec City for our friends’ wedding on Saturday. From there we’ve ventured further into Québec along the St. Lawrence and are now in a tiny village by a fjord in the Charlevoix region and hoping to get out on the water in a kayak tomorrow.

This’ll be as far north as we go – we need to turn around and start making our way back south towards JFK so I can be back in the studio next Wednesday!

P.S. How did the pitch go?

Greetings from Vermont! We decided to relax in the picture perfect town of Burlington for a few days before heading to Canada. We rented couple of bicycles and started a 20 mile cycle along the coast of Lake Champlain.  Although the morning was gloomy, the sun came out and the temperature started soaring as we began our route! As luck would have it, I forgot to apply my sunscreen and got a luminous red back as a constant reminder!
